Back around 99-2000 I was working on the breeding of Skunk #1 From Scratch. I had bred an F1 between Acapulco gold and Kabul Afghani (that was being used to pollinate Santa Marta Colombia gold). At the time I had given a friend the Congo seeds to pop and if he found anything good he was to bring me clones. From those I decided to add the Congo to the breed.
This F1 is a cross of exceptional Congolese
Sativa with a stable Mexican/Afghani. The outcome was amazing and Red Congolese has become a favorite from BC to California and even Europe, where she is known as John Sinclair in honor of the great guitar army leader.
She is a pleasure to grow and smoke with powerful but creative effects.
She gives amazing flavor that goes from sweet earthy candy, sandalwood, honey, with a hint of haze.. reminiscent of the incense that pours out of the Buddhist temples of Southeast Asia.
She grows super frosty, colorful and fairly compact, with an indica plant style yet the effects are full on sativa. The experience is more focused than the Hau bac or Lemon Thai. The high is outstanding and very up and powerful yet motivated after its onset.
Good commercial potential in SCROG or SOG. Good Sativa for beginners.
